This is DRESS
DRESS is a slow fashion label, combining recycled materials with ethically sourced fabrics to create utterly unique garments. DRESS designs are playful, versatile, and made to be treasured. Using silhouettes that accentuate the folds and falls of fabric, DRESS clothing is effortless to wear and crafted with the hope they will not lose beauty over time.
Borne out of a pure love for designing and making clothes, DRESS seeks to reestablish a forgotten relationship between the consumer and maker. By using a Made to order model DRESS allows the consumer to really become part of the process, choosing from specially curated fabrics and allowing a conversation between the two parties, developing a trusted relationship and a transparency into the process of clothing creation.

DRESS was founded by myself, Polly, in April 2025. In 2020, after graduating from University of Glasgow during peak COVID, when jobs were scarce and empty days long, I bought a sewing machine to busy my idle hands and taught myself to sew. Being able to extend my self expression from my own style into actual physical creation was such an immense joy, and I quickly decided it was something to pursue.
From then, I completed a HND in Fashion Design & Manufacture at Glasgow Clyde College, always with the goal of gaining enough knowledge & confidence to launch my own small scale fashion label. I received funding and support from Young Enterprise Scotland for machinery, and after talking about it for far too long I eventually launched DRESS.
My hope with DRESS is to create clothing that feels thoughtful, careful, but most importantly special to whoever wears it. Every stitch is deliberate, every shape and fold of fabric planned, and I hope more than anything that each and every DRESS garment is loved, treasured, and worn over and over again.
Slow Practices
Made To Order
This model slows down consumption and reduces waste, as each piece is only cut and sewn once an order is placed. This also allows for custom measurements, ensuring the perfect fit for your garment. Each design has a very carefully curated selection of fabrics to choose from, allowing you to be a part of the making process yourself.
Ready To Wear
These pieces are items that have already been sewn. Most of these pieces are made from recycled fabrics, and are therefore often only available in one or two sizes, depending upon the yardage of the material. Ready To Wear pieces have been crafted thoughtfully and with purpose, breathing new life into secondhand fabrics that may otherwise have been discarded.
